The joy that comes from watching them grow into beautiful creatures s is very fulfilling for any dog lover. Before making a decision to get a puppy make sure that you are going to do what it takes to ensure the well-being of the young pet.
A puppy needs to be on a balanced diet so it will grow into a healthy and strong pet. In case you don’t know what to feed your puppy you can opt to feed them commercial food products that are either dry or are wet. Both the options have good nutritional content for your puppy so don’t be torn between the products. There are also natural foods that you can prepare at home you are not limited to commercial products alone. A good veterinarian will tell you what is best to feed your puppy so make sure you consult on your particular breed type. Health condition, breed and age of the puppy will be key determiners of what your puppy should eat.
Some puppies when fed with the wrong type of food will suffer from allergies that could be triggered from the contents of the foods. Puppies younger than four months need to be fed three times but as they grow older they times fed could be reduced to two. Dehydration could be lethal to puppies especially if they are on a dry diet. Fresh water should be provided in a bowl that has to be kept clean to prevent any contamination. Sleeping is very important for puppies, they need lots of rest just like kittens. Now that you have identified that your kitten will be sleeping most of the time you need to ensure that there is a comfortable place for them to sleep.
In an effort to enhance the comfort, make sure that you put a warm piece of blanket or something soft where they sleep Show them away from personal areas like the bed as they may get attached to them finding it hard to give them up. If your puppy has not already been trained then you will have to step in and help the puppy adopt some toilet discipline. You will identify some behavior just before the puppy goes, they will spin and around or sniff around. At the sight of such behavior take them outside where you want them to do their business. After some time they will be used and adopt the routine themselves even when you are not there.
